Thought of something funny today about myself personally...

I am planning to sell everything through a coop at a 3 cent fee. What if this is a ploy by the coops that they know will get kiboshed in mid December.

I think it's funny how many of you would be willing to give up 3 cents per bushel to have a co-op write you the check just out of hope that the 20% deduction stays in place (dreaming). But you'll wait for that magical number for cash corn such as $4.00 but refuse to sell for $3.97 and then cry when the bottom falls out and were back to $3.20.

One local coop that I know of is charging $.02 and they claim because they sell a large quantity of grain to say cargil or Bartlett that they generally get $.05-.10 better cash price than someone off of the street. Tax deduction or not if you can make another $.3-.8 a bu why not??
