Would like something to check on cattle and fences after a storm. Saw a DJI Phamtom 3 basic at Walmart for $500. Supposed to be on clearance which makes me think they are getting to be an older model. Is it ok for a first time user? Learning curve very steep? Better features available for a little more money?
Thanks for your advice.

Phantom 3 is fine. They don’t have quite the range or battery life of the newer ones but they are still fine. Mine gets about 20 min flight time on a charge. The biggest difference is that the newer ones have obstacle avoidance. As for learning to use it’s they are surprisingly simple and basically fly themselves. |
