Subject: Re: using my yield map for silage compensation

Central Kansas
Silage yield was around 17 ton to the acre. My field are within a five mile radius of the yard that is why they wanted my corn more than others. This is central Kansas where wheat is king and corn is grown only where water is available. Chopped silage in the field was worth $20/ton.

Corn price at silo harvest was in the $2.25 range.
