Deere did release the 4600 too soon in my opinion but in saying that by the end of 2018 the Gen 4 displays will have full functionality beyond what a 2630 can do.
Any word on background image ability? Or loading RX maps with a USB on new model tractors? (Not all of the US has good cell or wifi in rural areas) How about getting raw data out of the display? How about being able to use very high resolution multiple product RX maps like we had with the GRX format in the previous monitors? Unless something changes, all of these features are going to be gone.
I would sure like to see companies build on there successful monitors, instead of dumbing them down to the level of their worst competitor. The 3 new flagship monitors from Raven, Trimble and Deere were released way before they were ready. The Raven Viper 4 is the only one that is at least as good as what it replaced. And it took about 3 years to get there. When these companies brag about their ability to control rates by the row or nozzle, but the RX maps have to be so dumbed down to even load, it sure defeats the ability. |
