Western-Central Lower Michigan | The good news is it is probably a RAM issue, go to youtube https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=remove+ram+on+optiplex+... and watch a few different videos on "sff" small form factor optiplex. They will show you the trick to getting to the ram. While you are there, are there any spare ram slots? Usually sticks are 2gig each, if its got 2x2gig, its only 4 gig.
Next, IF you still have an issue after reseating the RAM, you can run a single stick to see if one of the RAM modules really went bad. Usually one gets a "brain fart" and just needs to be reset.
You can get used RAM https://www.ebay.com/itm/Nanya-NT2GC64B88G0NF-CG-2GB-DDR3-PC3-10600U... just make sure you get DDR3 10600U The U is important.
ALso, make sure you get 2 sticks if you have spare slots.
