west central Iowa | I used to record planting varieties and acres with Insight on our 7000 planter. I installed a whisker switch that told when planter was up or down (planting). Then set Insight to auto (lower right hand corner). I then put Insight into combine and variety tracking worked well. We combine beans at an angle.
I had an Ez Steer with the 500 on RTK. I was much happier with RTK than with Waas! Ez Steer worked well to hold the line at 0-1”. This was on a 2955 and a 4650. I have since gone with Trimble Autosteer on the 4650 and am very happy! If you do a lot of spraying or side dressing with that tractor, you would really enjoy autosteer. | |
