You should definitely be able to get it up and running with a raspberry pi. Texas Instruments also provides canbus devkits that can help. Ive got a raspberrypi (and some custom controller boards I'm working on), I'd be happy to post some blog articles on what I end up learning with ISOBUS so you can build stuff on your end too.

I agree on bringing smaller older instruments online though. Maybe it's just me being biased since I'm a developer helping out, but it seems like the industry hasn't done a lot to make ISOBUS develpment easy to start. Not to mention things like unlocking equipment you bought seems harsh.
