Subject: RE: White vs. Yellow Corn

Saronville NE
Been growing white last few yrs due to nice premium, but were not growing a acre of it this year, not nuff premium. It's only 20 cents difference between yellow and white, that's not nuff, needs to be 40-50 cents to make it worthwhile.

It does not yield as consistent as yellow, some yrs it's better then yellow some yrs like last yr it was 20 bpa less. It takes more N for top yield imo, better watch yr numbers for dry down, it needs to be 14.5% here to sell, not 15 like yellow. Can't shop seed price since P basically has market cornered. Hauling out is buyers call, may be middle of blizzard or maybe middle of planting. Really watch how close to any enogen it's planted to or you will have major promblems. Gotta watch for stress cracks and color continmation for dock reasons. Plan on fungicide.

Can be ok. But just a heads up. All the little things add up so that our present 20 cents isn't enuff.
