My experience is that 30" row will normally out yield narrow rows in wet weather & vice versa in dry weather. Can't answer your fertilizer question by I do know that in 9 out of1 0 years you'll not see any difference in corn yields when comparing corn with starter compared to all braodcast fertilizer in our soils.
