Most guys will just put more N on whenever they normally do it and think they are doing themselves a favor, when in reality that N is going to get lost anyway. That soil that lost that N, can hold onto say 100 units. If they put 150 on, chances are it will be lost when it needs it. That's why I am a firm believer in less at a time and more trips, but that's "here" in low CEC soils too. But I have to imagine if it is wet soil and gassing off that is the same thing. | |
