Donnellson, IA. Makes saying here easier.
Million dollar question. So many options out there. I chose the harvest set up for my striptill bar because its length and the way it runs on contours is very close to my 1770nt planter. That is a pretty expensive route for just strip freshening if only applying N. I will run my cart and tank set up both most likely to multipurpose it as a striptill bar and freshner both basically. If I was only running liquid I would probably buy an old cultivator or rotary hoe and strip the units and make a 3 point set up with a all wheel steer cart. There are some options on the market for strip freshner units, I didn't look into prices as I bought the vtas for my mavericks years ago and never put them on. Old nh3 toolbars would be great too if you wanted to make it pull type. They don't bring much on auction just make sure you can set them up on even rows. Old planter frames work too. Our sidedress bar was a rotary hoe in its first life. Really works great.
