Milo just doesn't have the volume to get the extensive research programs as corn. Almost everyone would choose corn over milo if the production risk, mainly rainfall, is equal. For those of us in the climate where rainfall is plenty risky for corn milo can be good option. Read posts about milo growers having sympathy for having to grow it and almost all responses were from those well within corn areas. We had an excellent year with record breaking yields and still had stress areas down flat, waited for dry down, shorter days to get harvest done, weed control issues to the max and yes the itch. At seed field days have dozens of plots of corn and the one agronomist from Texas with his couple varieties hoping to stay on the agenda
