Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | Most N is applied per plant in this area. I am stripping on liquid this year due to the price of dry N. If it is cool and a forecast of rain I probably won't use a stabilizer but it isn't a bad idea to use a stabilizer anytime. I can buy a little more N and forego the stabilizer. Seems to work OK here.
I'm not a real fan of side dressing N in drier climates. What if it doesn't rain for 30 days and the fertilizer doesn't get incorporated? The N needs to get into the root zone. |
