Had one born in a February snow storm a few years ago that did the same thing, other than he also lost both ears and a back toe. He got along fine other than a little limp, but eventually got to where he walked pretty normally.

We put him on a retained ownership load and when we got the closeout data back, you couldn't pick him out of the rest of the load. But he made more money than any other calf, because if we had taken him to the sale barn we would have given him away!
