SC Wisconsin | Yes they are a pain, almost as bad as jersey calves ( which I get a lot of). Once he's weaned and on grain, feed him hard. If he never ate a leaf of hay his whole life is best. They are a real heavy boned breed and will finish at 1800+ lbs if you feed them too much hay that they put on a lot of frame. He will finish awesome if fed cracked corn and pellets in a stuffer, and at least here they will call him a crossbred and you will get a premium for him at the salebarn.
