North of London		That is the thing about science it never claims to be absolutely correct in every detail.
In the article you linked to it still is a tweak to how the universe began to expand.
At the moment it would be better to say it is a hypothesis about a change in our understanding of how the universe expanded or what it expanded from.

BTW that old book put together a long time ago will never explain how the universe works as we are able to figure out with new technologies and instruments they never even imagined in those days.
It is very outdated and incorrect in many of the explanations it puts forth.
It certainly can not answer the questions we still have about the universe.
