As a businessman getting involved with a potential customer it is on YOU to know what the pitfalls there are taking on a new customer. The repair shop should understand that, and if not this is called paying tuition in the game of life. Obviously the rules of govt are more strict and obtuse, but they are also there to prevent fraud. It is unfortunate for the repair shop in this situation, but in no way is it the road commissioners responsibility nor the spouses responsibility to pay for a govt entity.
I am simply amazed at how loose advice gets on here when it doesn't involve your own money. | |
