Subject: Farm house crawl space

Mn
Have a dirt floor crawl space, about 12" between dirt and bottom of 2x12 cross beams that support floor. Would it be a bad idea to fill floor with gravel up to the tops of the cross beams and put cement with in floor heat on top? I need to raise the floor 4" anyway to keep floors level, and have no need to use the space for hvac or plumbing. This is only on part of the house, the rest has a basement. This is MN, any suggestions would help.
