| Had a low tire on the pickup yesterday. Drove it in the shop and took the lug nuts off but didn't think I was ever going to get the rim off. Beat on it with a sledge and a block of wood for about five minutes before it came off. I was scared to hit it directly with the sledge because the rim is aluminum. Perhaps aluminum contracts more than steel or cast or whatever the hub is made of and that was the problem in this cold weather. I don't know what I would have done if I had been on the road with limited tools. | |
