So, I buy a semi trailer in Kansas.

We pick it up, the owner was going to be out of town that week, so they mail us the title.

Trailer is very nice, I pull it back to Missouri.

Title arrives in mail, it was from Oklahoma, and former owner never put it in their name - ugghh.....

I mail title back as they agree to fix it.

I'm now told Kansas requires the trailer to be inspected in Kansas to verify VIN as its from Oklahoma.

Is that correct?

I'm also told that in Kansas, if you take the title paperwork to the county you live in, they will give you a new title right then, you don't have to wait for the mail.

Is that correct?
