Subject: Difference between a John Deere and Wix filter (pic)

ecsd

Here is the difference between wix and John Deere filters. The filter on the left is the John Deere and the filter on the right is wix. The Wix filter has 75 "folds" of paper and the John Deere has 86 "folds". The wix filter fell apart when I cut it open, the John Deere I couldn't get it pried apart. I don't know if it is one piece, or fused, or a really tight bond. The wix had this cheap little plastic spacer between the filter element and the base.

Edit: The bottom picture is the wix and the second to the bottom is the JD. The JD has smaller holes but more of them. It is kinda hard to tell from the picture.
