Southern Indiana | Brother, I've been where you are. I wouldn't wish the pain and misery on my worst enemy. The night I found out (note left on the bathroom sink) it was like everything that was inside me just fell out on the floor. I was lucky my youngest was a senior in high school so I don't know how I would've handled the new dad thing. Probably not well. I coped by staying busy and working hard so I would sleep good. A friend who had been through the same thing came over one day and told me I probably felt like I was down in a deep well and couldn't see the top, but eventually I would. He was right. It sounds funny, but my whole 1st marriage seems like a dream, like it never even happened. Concentrate on the future and don't dwell on the past. Things will work out. I met a wonderful woman(online), and am much happier than I was before. If it can workout for me it can for you. Good luck! | |
