I know some of it is inaccurate thouh, because it says the round baler replaced the pickup square baler in the 40's. Hay in our area was put up mostly in small squares at least throuh the 60's. There were a few of the AC small round balers around, but our high rainfall area and sometimes warm winters produced too much spoilage. It was not until Vermeer made the large round baler that small squares eventually went by the wayside. I did custom hay baling with small squares throuh my high school years during summer in the late 60's early 70's.
