southern MN | I used to fly at 15-20 degrees, but I've ended up with the version of software that has a bug that won't fly in cold weather. I hesitate to upgrade because I don't need to sign in, or no fly zones, or the rest of the overhead I hear about newer versions.
Zero is pretty cold. Keeping the plastic from cracking and the motors wanting to spin and the battery Happy is something to consider, just like any of our machines.
I'm sure the feature you suggested is a tent for the operator to sit in, like your awning but with sides?
We have to be aware of icing, just like real planes we can't ignore physics. Fortunately we mostly want to fly on clear days, when there isn't much chance of this, but don't get into a cloud or fog in cold weather unless you know what's going on.
