| For some reason, as I plant I've always started with the early maturity corn first, then the longer maturity last. Didn't seem like that big of a deal at first where I only had a couple of hybrids that were close in maturity, but now it has me thinking on a cold night............
I'm exaggerating for effect, but say I'm planting 4 maturities: 105 day, 109 day, 113 day, and 117 day. Say it takes me 2 weeks to get it in..........usually start around March 30-April 1 or so.............this is dryland.......
Would you plant in that order, or start with the 117 day first, then 113 day and so on?
I can't decide if it matters...........I keep thinking the right answer varies every year with the weather.........maybe not
