I think it's wrong on many levels, accepting charity should not be encouraged or adopted as standard procedure. I think advice or guidelines about feeding children would be more appropriate followed be what to do if help is needed. This applies to more than just WIC or welfare.
Agree 100%
But, those administrating the program, like most of welfare, food stamps
other social hand outs, want job security. If they get numbers grow,
they can sell the idea of a greater need and a bigger budget.
Another Goverment program run amuck :(
