I'm just planning on using it for guidance and to monitor our 2013 1770nt planter. We might change to factory hydraulic drives later and plant prescriptions. The planter has half width disconnects on a rocker switch.
Ok. If you're planning to monitor an ISOBUS planter, you'll need at least the Virtual Terminal software in the display, and the Task Controller software also if you want to plant prescriptions or map.
When I said it should cost no more than an hour of shop time, I was thinking of you taking the display in and having the dealer load it on the bench. But if you're going to use it for guidance and other stuff, it would be better to have a service call so that the dealer can check the NAV software, receiver software, other tractor controller software, etc. And then you can hook up the planter too, to make sure it all works.
