The battery isn't too hard to remove. It sets in the square housing that is one the back of the fmx display. There are 4 bolts holding it on. If the display has a 900mhz or 450mhz radio you have to very carefully pull the bottom of the housing straight up because the radio circuit board is on the back of the part you are taken out and has a connector that is plug into the main circuit board. Lift straight up and it will come out. Then take the antenna cable for the radio off and the connector for the battery. Then the back housing with the battery can be removed. With the housing free remove the four screws holding the radio circuit board. Be sure to remember the orientation of the circuit board. Next remove the final two screws holding the battery. Now the battery can come out and be replaced. Reassemble in reverse order and you're finished.
