Nwmo | I've been thinking about a drone for quite a while. What are you guys using for drones, I have been going back and forth between a phantom carrying a camera like a mapir or agrocam. Another thought would be jumping feet first into a Parrot disco pro ag with a sequoia camera, but that is really more money than I'm am wanting to spend even though it's on sale and pretty cheap compared to other rtf drones with multi spectral cameras.
I've also looked at building my own, seems like the pixhawk flight controller with mission planner software is pretty robust and would let a person trigger a camera at distance intervals, I just don't think I have the time to building and tune a plane, plus I couldn't do it any cheaper than a Parrot.
Is anyone using a phantom and just hanging a mapir on the bottom and setting it to take pictures every couple of seconds? Does that work? They would be geo referenced, but what about turning on the end of a run, it would still be snapping pictures. | |
