I believe the appeal, and the problem that american robotics is looking to solve, is that their system is one that does not require a Pilot In Command, or at least not one that is on location. A single farm could have multiple systems that are pre-programmed to collect data on a daily basis. I'm assuming this would fall outside of the current law of line-of-sight. It's definitely not a future that's too far away!!
