Subject: How many years does it take to eliminate winter annuals?

SE Nebraska, Near Misery and Cans Ass!
I've got three fields that this was the fifth year of the 2 4 D Dicamba metribuzin fall burn down. Used to have a heavy infestation of Mare's tail, Pennycress, and henbit. Really couldn't hardly find any this fall but sprayed it anyhow. I'm just thinking I can now do a cover crop like turnips radishes rye wheat or something like that at low populations and not have to worry about the winter annuals. Low populations to not use too much moisture and not be too much to plant into in the spring if you wait till late to terminate them. Your thoughts.
