Salina, Kansas | Just at a meeting in Manhattan KS last week where they were talking about this and the new eld thing. The 150 miles is actually something like 172 because it is statue miles. The 172 extends into our neighboring states as well but a dot number and probably a ucr permit is technically required to cross a state line even then. Because of a few exemptions we are basically okay any where in KS though. Outside those lines we were told to hire it do because everything is required. Some one asked about picking up a truck they might buy and that's the answer we got. Not trying to discourage you as might be tempted to do it myself as well, just passing along what we heard. They of course try to make it as confusing as possible just to discourage you as well I think. Don't forget your drug test program as well. | |
