Subject: RE: Yield monitor acres revisited

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
I had to use the wheel sensor with my first YM2000 yield monitor on a 7720 in green beans. My ground speed was so slow that the GPS speed would drop out. With later combines I have not found that necessary although it is still an option.

Changing from one to the other mid-season on the YM2000 caused some confusion. It was important to calibrate the ground speed prior to any harvesting if there was any chance of going with it. I don't know if that problem still exists with the newer displays but they generally require switching to a new region or load if the ground speed source is changed.
