I think before we order more tile, we should open up some lines on a neighbors field where he has old tile that is plugged, and some socked tile that he says is smeared shut (maybe ochre), to see what is the problem. Since I plant and harvest for him, it doesn’t seem like any of it is working in his fields anymore. he says it runs like quicksand when they try to fix lines in wet spots. Tile works good in gray clay at home as long as we don’t go too deep. Seems like it should really gush out in that gravel. | |
