Iowa - Floyd County | I was in your exact situation, 350 acres with a full time job and trying to sell seed as well. The only way to sell is to go and knock on doors, people won’t come looking for you. I ended up getting out of seed sales after a few years because it takes a lot of time to do a good job. It got to the point that I could not take care of my customers like they deserved and I couldn’t represent the company like they deserved so I got out, I didn’t make much money from seed sales either for the time it required of me. I’m not at all saying you can’t make it work just be aware it will take a lot of time. Just trying to give you some info on what I experienced, good luck! | |
