| We've broke several hundred acres put of crp over the past 10 years and have tried every method. I don't care how rough it is we won't put a tillage tool on it until after the first crop, no-till beans into it and after the sod has been dead for a year you can run a field cultivators ahead of corn the next year and one pass will make a nice seed bed. Whenever we have tried tillage before the first crop we end up with a cloudy mess that turns into a giant sponge and a swampy mess. | |
