Subject: Banding Urea in cotton rows

North Carolina
I feel like we lost a lot of our N this year, Dribble 32 % beside row , It was treated but I still feel like it didn't do us much good . If I set up a fertilizer rig to coulter in say 35 to 40 units of actual N from urea 6 " off each side of the row do think it would get to hot on the seed ? Been putting 18 # in the form of DAP with no problem but I would like to get a little more up front and in the ground to promote a little early kick in growth . Then come back with the rest at pin head . What you cotton growers think.
