EC Indiana | Can you 179 tile on rented farm? If you pay for improvements and get kicked out early from lease I believe owner has to pay take on the “lease hold improvement” according to IRS. Don’t know if it is ever enforced.
I’m watching closely to this thread too. I’m no accountant but heard the interpretation is you can’t give the landowner “free” tile without them paying tax as if a gift or claim it as part of the rent.
