I'm sorry but I would never tile unowned land, just too many variables. Tile is long term payoff, at least ten years, so rent would have to be $100/acre less then going rate for the area. I would not spend $60,000 to pattern tile 80 acres of rented land. Both you and the landlord's hands are tied as a long term contract can not be written to satisfy both of you. If anything I would bump the rent some IF the landlord were to pay for the tile. Now for those who can tile it themselves I would try to give any prospective landlord a good deal on installation.
