Centre county Pennsylvania, USA | Mark, I zoomed Tim's engine load map. It shows somewhat different "striping" than yield map. Maybe field had "rolling" terrain? Engine load might be higher going uphill than downhill, even if yield was same. I do agree that engine load would be proxy for yield if field was flat and reasonably dry. Still would need "absolute and sensitivity calibration", somehow.
I like Tim's engine load map but do have one (constructive) comment. Could be wrong but I thought most engine meters that come with iron machines color code high engine load as red and low load as green ;)
