For a little more explanation - this exception is not for if you work at a place with workman's comp, it is in a state with workman's comp. So if your main income is from your own business (ie - farming, and assuming you don't carry workman's comp for yourself) you are still not covered for work related injuries if you are in a 'workman's comp state'.
