The problem is that lightbridge is a single directional wifi system. Your home router actually could use the same type of technology. If you set up your home router to broadcast in a single direction rather than to provide wifi to the whole house in every direction, you could have a connection much farther away.
If they made lightbridge to "seek" for other drones in every direction, or even to just connect to 2 devices (controller plus another drone), it would significantly drop the range. | |
