Sounds like a decent plan to me. I wouldn't buy the time premium to July upfront though. I would buy Mar and then May if I wanted to keep going. That way you don't buy the carry which is a bad deal and if the market was to drop by mid Feb you could end up owning a strike 20-30c lower for the same money or less.
