Excellent summary of investing for folks with other (more important) things to spend their time on.

Being fully retired from both town job and farming is when we can spend full time on stuff we want to do, like learning how to invest in the stock market. After several years of full retirement I've learned that picking single stocks is not (ever) a good way to invest. Instead, stick with the index stocks, mutual funds, and their ETFs and trade them frequently (not day trade, but 14 day trade).

If excitement is still needed in our life after full retirement, trade long calls on those stock indexs, mutual funds and ETFs. BTO slightly ITM long calls on market dips and STC 14 market days later should provide 14 market day periods of excitement.
