NE Ohio | I just picked up a a Glencoe 4500 that's in need of the disk gang being refreshed.
With all the different style disks that are available today, I'm trying to decide if I should go with something different than the standard smooth concave disks.
I'd like to be able to use it as a one pass machine in both soybeans and corn to help loosen and warm up the soil No-till doesn't seems to work as well 'here' but all I need is something to workup the top few inches.
Would going to a fluted or turbo type of blade work better, notched, ???
Appreciate ideas as it seems there are a bunch of newer options to look at and since I need to replace anyway, seems like the time to consider. | |
