Garden City Ks | Has anyone fixed their John Deere planter like this?
Where the black arrow is it’s cracked wire brush and weld. Where the yellow arrow is for the depth stop pin. I get some 5/8 flat washers and grind rough edges off shank so washers are flat. Line up with bottom of hole then I weld them in place. Then I use a 16x75 mm bolt and a jam nut to hold depth stop. I put some blue thread locker on to hold jam but on as there isn’t much clearance when gauge wheel rides up. Also planning on putting on RK products gauge wheel kits.
