By the way, there is a great deal of debate about this.

Nitrogen will usually work its way into the soil quite quickly with precipitation. But even so, many people like all of their N banded in the soil at or near planting. P is not so mobile in the soil so me recommending broadcasting (something I have never done) is going to be controversial. Most will say the P needs to be in the soil regardless.

Like I said, that's me hoping to switch to it someday based upon what Matt Hagney is saying. Haven't actually done it that way.
