Kingston,Mi
As long as you don't pour on frozen soil and you said you have the foam board down, I would go ahead and pour. If you think you will need extra heat, add a bag per cubic yard as it will create extra heat. Once the bleed leaves, cover with poly and dry straw. when I poured mine in similar weather 5 years ago about this time, I pinched off the bottom of a soda straw and placed it in the edge of the pad then placed a soil thermometer in it and covered with the poly and straw. Looked at it and recorded the temp once a day for a week. Our recommendation for cold weather concrete was to extend the insulation 5 ft. or so beyond the slab. As long as the temp remains above 40 degrees F., your concrete will cure normally. You should observe a bell curve where the temp raises, holds then drops slightly toward the end of the week. I also had a recording thermometer and plotted the temp curve. It took readings every 15 minutes and provided a very nice record.
