I just finished harvesting a 125 ac feild of 30 % Grade 5 corn. It dropped my drying speed to 50% of normal. So, to keep going, I bit the bullet and sent about 40 % of it to the elevator.
I’m not going to sit down and figure how much that just cost me. I’m just happy it is off the feild. Everyone has been asking me if I will leave it out. I know it will feild dry and gain tw if left out overwinter but I’m not willing to risk it. It could also go flat as
Piss on a plate.
The balance of my harvest should be easy compared to that farm. | |
