Subject: RE: yield plots with statistically significant differences

Camp Douglas Wi. 40miles nw of wi. dells
I'm 65 been farming my whole life, always had test plots and for the last Several years 20-25 varieties with same check # between every 3-4 #s. Then we pick top 5-6 #s add that to next years lineup in small amounts with a balance of yield plus cost of seed. We (brother and I) have done quite well.

Now you are telling me if We don't have 15-20 repucations of 20-25 of same varietys thru out our farm that it's a waste of time.

Please explain to this dumb plowboy with no college, agronomy or any other degree above high school why we are making money with only one plot?

Edit; please don't use big words and try to explain at 3rd grade level.

Dan
